The Maryland Society for HealthCare Risk Management (MD-SHRM) is an affiliate chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM). Founded in 1981, the society is organized as a non-profit association working to educate and inform Risk Managers on matters of public policy, legislation, current trends, and other risk management issues. Its members have diverse backgrounds and represent healthcare providers and healthcare attorneys from all over Maryland and the District of Columbia.
